Hey guys
Need a hand i am running a a 7116 laptop and need a bios update other than the 1 i have. it keep reading lots of cores in linux distro when it should only have 2. i know the bios is at fault as its common with the is chipset. But Advent and the techguys are no help at all .. any ideas ????

well acroding to my laptop my bios is rev 1.6 thats 1.3 so god knows

It will work but it might muck up SLP so your OEM operating system won't work.

its ok i dont mind if the OEM OS its vista lo. using xp the now . i tried to download it there it wont install its says it need to be under MSDOS mode. tried command land. no luck always get errors. tried the AMI flash utill but it wont up date because the file from Uniwill is a .exe and not a .rom file ..

OK manged to get a USB Floppy drive . i created a BOOTABLE Floppy and aaded the .exe file from unwill sits it still wont work any 1 got any ideas
