My Advent 7109 laptop (G335-Series) driver issues

Postby karlos3733 » Wed Jun 27, 2007 6:31 pm

Ok my sis brought her laptop around a year ago, she ended up clogging up the hardrive with numerous viruses so decided to reformatt it and re-install a fresh copy of XP proff. That was all done fine, Once i done that i then went to device manager to see what drivers i needed to download off my home pc for it, I managed to dl all of them successfully except for these ones:-

Ethernet Controller
Modem Device on High Definition Audio Bus
RTL8187_Wireless

Now the 2 i need are the ethernet drivers and the wireless ones, i found the ethernet ones, installed them, re-booted and it still doesnt recognise it, obviousley i cnt hook the laptop upto the net to search as i need either wireless or ethernet to do so. If u could help i would be so happy

http://support.thetechguys.com/adventnotebooks

Locate 7109 in the list, Downloads section.

Though had you backed up C:\Applications before installing a new OS (legally I hope) you would have all drivers and applications.

Is there no way we can just download the right drivers cus i have the same problem!

No way someone has this laptop so we can just install the wireless and wired network and Audio!

PCWORLD SUCKS! cant support anything after a few months why do we bother going to a big store when we should go to a local shop for computers cus you get better support!"

Hang on.

If, as I suspect, the Techguys have the wrong driver on their site... how about telling them?

Have you tried the drivers on the manufacturer's site?

This laptop has been fitted with nearly every make of WLAN and other hardware.

The modem won't work unless the Microsoft HD audio patch and the audio drivers are installed.

Keep trying different drivers until you find the correct ones.
