I have an advent modena its about 18 months old but it as been dead for about 4 months! I didn't drop it or anything but it just decided to not turn on one day. i try to turn it on and all that happens is the blue "on" light flashes on then off straight away and then the purple "charging light" goes off too and then it doesn't do anything. i took it to pc world but it was past its warranty so would cost £50 just to send it off and there's no guarantee that it can be fixed

what's wrong with me?!!?

please help xx

Have you tried changing the memory, as with faulty memory it will not boot. If you have done this, and it still does not work, it could be more serious like the main board or cpu.

Don't waste your time with PCWorld, go to a local notebook repair shop and ask them for a diagnosis/cost.
If it is major then contact the branch of PCWorld you bought it from and reject it as not fit for purpose under the Sale of Goods Act and request a repair or refund with adjustment based on the usage you have had.
TBH leaving it for so long was not a good idea.
