First post.

Has anyone upgraded an Advent 3409 desktop to Windows 7 from XP and what if any are the issues.

Have you tried running this?

The 3409 is a very old system and I doubt the onboard modem, sound and possibly LAN will have W7 drivers.
The installed memory was <512MB and W7 would probably need the maximum supported by the motherboard which looks like 2GB

Hi

I'll chuck that on the pile of bad ideas.
I ran the Upgrade tool and it has a list of problems sufficient to make me buy a new PC.
