Advent T9306 sound not working after vista upgrade

Hi, an old issue i know, looked at the previous topics on the subject, but can't find a definate successful resolution.

1. Are their any driver downloads that will resolve this, if so can you tell me where they are located.....or

2. Do I need to change my sound chip.if so can someone tell me where the sound chip is located on my PC and what it looks like, a picture would be handy.

For info, my other PC motherboard was u/s so I've replaced that pc, but a lot of the equipment installed in the u/s pc is compatable with my T9306, so I'm swapping the bits that I can over, so it is most likely that the sound chip in my u/s pc is compatable as well, the main issue being I don't know what the chip looks like or where it is located on the pc. I cant find anything on line to assist
