unable to add my printer canon lbp-1120 on recently purchased advent quantum q200 running on windows 7,32 bit.According to windows7 the printer is compatible.
downloaded driver from canon to no avail, unable to install.
my 'add printer' fn does not list my printer,have updated still no mention. so cannot install. the driver apparently only installs when the printer is installed. going round in circles, fear may have to buy new printer any thoughts,anybody else had this?

Have you tried connecting the printer, leave it switched off then install the driver and wait for a prompt to switch it on or switch on after the driver is installed.

thks yr reply, tried but still no luck ,microsoft no real help, now for canon
