Advent T2 help needed

Postby snuukzy » Sun Feb 27, 2011 2:00 am

Hello Advent supporter's,

I'm i the "horrible" situation that my hdd died and my backup/recovery disk have been misplaced..
I've tried to reinstall on a new hdd but it seams to be "impossible" to install my LAN adaptor and my "Front panel"..

If anybody have the software/driver for the front panel and the LAN Adaptor i would be extremely happy if you would share with me..
Otherwise a completly recovery disk would also been a possibility..

Hope somebody can help me

Best regards

Go into Device Manager, right click on the unknowns, select Properties, click Details tab and write down the Device Instance id for each and post them back here.

I think this is the device instance id (English is not my native language at me it's called "hardware-id'er")

USB\VID_0AA8&PID_8002&REV_0000
USB\VID_0AA8&PID_8002

I'm thinking maybe it's the front panel but im not sure and i dont know how to find the driver for the panel.. :-/

That is the Trigem remote control. Trigem manufactured the PC for Advent.
Have you tried this one?

Extract the files and click on the setup exe

PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_AA20&SUBSYS_AA20174B&REV_00\4&37AD8B77&0&0108 is ATi (AMD) RV635 Audio device

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2668&SUBSYS_3197109F&REV_03\3&11583659&0&D8 is Intel High Definition audio. The KB888111 patch from Microsoft may help
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888111

Have you installed the Intel chipset driver and ATi Radeon X300 drivers ?

I've installed the intel driver but not the x300 cause theres another gfx in the machine now it's a hd3650 instead.

I'm trying to get the setup to work either in win xp mce or win7 ultimate.. im hoping for the win7 solution, but then the trigem drivers wont work.

The 3650 may have a hdmi connector and possibly a driver to allow audio over hdmi.
This could cause conflicts with the AC97 audio on the motherboard.
The PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_AA20&SUBSYS_AA20174B&REV_00\4&37AD8B77&0&0108 is an ATi audio device and perhaps should be left without installing the driver.

The 3650 doesn't have any hdmi, only vga, svhs and dvi.

But now I've actually come so far that the only thing thats conflicting is:
High Definition Audio-controller with the following ID's:
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_AA20&SUBSYS_AA20174B&REV_00
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_AA20&SUBSYS_AA20174B
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_AA20&CC_040300
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_AA20&CC_0403

But is says that the (google translated):
The device can not find enough free resources. (Code 12)
To use this device, you need to disable a second system of units.

Any idea how to get rid of this problem?

And is there any chance that you know how to enable the "front panel", so that the keys like play, stop, mute etc. will begin to funtion?
