I have a modena advent laptop. I bought flash drive to start transferring all my data from Pc to laptop but my PC does not recognise flash drive. Do I need transer cable if yes what type? Curry's cheeky beggars told a cable would cost £40.00
Please can anyone advise me as I do not want to pay that amount as it is a rip off.
My thanks

Does the PC recognise other USB devices and is it fully up to date with XP Service Packs?
What type of discs did you try and what burning software does the PC use?

Yes PC recognises other USB devices and I think I am uptodate with service pack2 and SP3: Mains SP3
I use Internet Explorer 8
I used real player to burn disc, not sure that this worked. Used facility on PC to write to CD.
The discs I used CDR 700MB
You will realise I am not all that familiar as last time I did this was about 9 years ago and used transfer cable.
My thanks

Are there any warnings when you put the USB pen drive into the PC.
Unfortunately I cannot find any reference to the Sony Trendsonie to check on the USB type.
