Hi
My laptop turned off for no reason i can see the light on showing its charging but when i press the on button nothing happens any idea why?

two things spring to mind, one have you done any updates recently- there is one optional upgrade that can kill your motherboard, the second is that the backlight on the screen has failed. to check the backlight, try plugging into an external monitor, if it works then your backlight is probably to blame- also if you shine a very bright light at your screen you may just be able to make out the icons etc.

maybe you just have the switch pulled out, overheated your gear, or maybe some battery problems?

hope you have already fixed those issues..
