Advent Flat Screen LCD TV - having trouble switching 'on' -

Can anyone help me? I cannot get my screen to switch on. (Advent 32 inch flat panel LCD TV Model ADV32L1 )The red light at the base of the screen that should turn green when it is switched on remains orange, and flashing - unless I unplug the screen at the mains, in which case if goes off! I have replaced the remote handset batteries with new ones. Is there a re-set button that I can activate? Thank you, in advance, for any help with this - I really appreciate it.
