Advent 9115 Battery problems

Hi All,

I would be grateful if anyone could help, my advent 9115 laptop battery isn't working.
I checked the recall list and its ok but it hasnt bein working great lately and has stop working yesterday. the laptop wont event turn on!
The battery light flashed orange for a while and then stops.
Ive tried PCworld hepline but no luck, was gave advent helpline number but it did even ring!!
any soluations plz?

does it run without the battery plugged in - it should be able to.

No it wont turn on just plugged into the mains. its not even 2 years old.

I would check the mains adapter voltage with a multimeter. It should be 20v

I have the same problem, also in the last month or two I have been through 3 adapters, they seem to keep blowing. Any ideas? It is just over two years old.
