Hey guys, I'm so glad i found this forum.
I searched the net for some drivers for my Advent laptop but I didn't find anything. Not even an official website, do they have that even?
Anyway I'm looking for drivers for my Advent 8215Nordic.
The specs are as following:
15,4" Widescreen
Intel Celeron 430 1,73Ghz
512MB DDRII RAM
80GB HDD etc.

Hope you know what modell i'm refering to.

I would really appricate some1 who could help me with drivers.
I really need drivers for chipset and mobo, and audio and WLAN (g), but all drivers are welcome.

I'm counting on your guys now!
Thanks in advance..
Regards/The Prophet

PS. Sry for my bad english .DS

EDIT: I found this post http://www.w00tw00t.co.uk/support/viewtopic.php?t=2933 were i found a link to the drivers, thanks! But i still can't find the driver for the 80GB HDD? Can any1 help me?
Like the thread-creator i have plans on upgrading the RAM from 512MB to 1,5GB, so what I will do is to buy a new 1GB to put in. It seems as though the first memory slot is located under the laptop, witch already is in use? And the second empty 1 is under the keyboard? How hard is it to remove and locate the second slot? Can any1 give me a detailed description on how to proceed? Would be really appriciated!
Thanks guys!
I also would like the HOTKEY for the WLAN to work? Any ideas?

EDIT2: I still can't find driver for the HDD. I still can't get the HOTKEY/switch to work for WLAN. And I the laptop dosen't even recognize that there is a battery present!!! What to do? My OS is Windows XP PRO SP2.

Requests for drivers and manufacturer info from big-g-18 and discoduke have been split as separate posts.

Can I ask everyone to post similar requests as a new topic and not post any further requests for drivers here.

Thanks All

I'll echo that - but please don't post a question which has already been answered in an existing thread. Have a search before you ask.

Hi!

I'd like to help You all. I say something like this:

If You search for a driver to graphic card, ide controller or anything else it's very easy to find using google.
First You must open device manager pressing simulateously keys 'Windows' + 'Pause'. Then click twice to this device, which need driver, select "Details" and on Property "Hardware Ids" field. Type in google.com for example for SIS IDE controller 'DEV_5513'
and voila its says it is SIS EIDE Controller. Then just http://www.sis.com and download proper driver. It's simple.
For the other device it's need to be DEV_????, where ???? is what says on it in device manager. Try and provide feedback.

And I have one bigger problem. Maybe You could help me. I have in my hand Advent notebook model 3083 Nordics. I think it's identical to ECS 321. And now I need to hotflashing it's BIOS to original Advent 3083 NORDICS Bios. The problem is I don't have Rom file. Where I my find it? The TechGuys support is realy poor.
